I get the rye on the nose and a little bit in the finish but surprisingly not a whole lot on the palate. Not was I was expecting especially it being so young but maybe that is why. I’m not sure on the mashbill but maybe it is closer to that 51% rye too, not sure. Either way it is good and drinks very smoothly for the ABV.
Very sweet sugary taste up front. Agave syrup? Green apple jolly rancher. Very bright. Getting some cherry as well.
I had the 61% one. I like it more than I thought I would. Pleasant oily mouth feel, fruity and Herby.
Nose: almond, honey, earthy, spicy Taste: sweet/honey, slight spice, medium heat
Minty rye bread on the nose, Pepper and vitamin. Medium finish
Balanced with depth. A little spice, a little sweetness.
