Pinhook Vertical Series (loch & k(e)y Out of the Gate)

The nose is a great mix of charred oak and earthy rye spice, wrapped up in subtle touches of brown sugar and vanilla. Baking spices soon make an appearance to round it all out. The palate starts with a kick of chewy rye spice as it hits all corners of the mouth, with a wave a charred oak coming behind it. There is an earthy quality to it, while touches of backing spices and brown sugar mingle in the background. The finish is long, chewy and spicy, with lingering rye spice that seems to stay forever. It fades gently with faint notes of oak and brown sugar.
