Prichard's Distillery Double Chocolate Bourbon

An intense, Flavored Whiskey by Prichard's Distillery in collaboration with the Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Company in Tennessee made by infusing carefully selected cocoa beans with premium double-barreled bourbon. It has an aromatic birth with notes of dark chocolate & hints of Prichard's Double Barreled Bourbon Whiskey; while a bold life adds more notes of dark chocolate & oak; that led to a long & bold death with more notes of chocolate & oak. October 2019 / August 2022

Nose: dark chocolate, cherry, corn, cinnamon. The nose is very simple but extremely pleasant. Taste: dark chocolate, raisin, cherry, almonds. Everyone needs to try this at least once. I'm revisiting this after buying my third bottle. This is one that I always have to come back to after a time. Just one of my all time favorites. So unique and delicious.

Was a gift, normally have not tasted much flavored whiskeys. This one was enjoyable. The hints of chocolate are very very light, almost unnoticeable. Towards the end once it opens up was really it. To me almost a normal bourbon with just a kiss of chocolate. Try it.

Disappointed. The nose has a fantastic chocolate sweetness with vanilla and honey. However the taste is harsh. Was expecting something rich and sweet, but it’s dry, astringent, herby, and peppery.

I really like this “flavored” whiskey. The infused dark chocolate is very subtle and doesn’t add any sweetness over what you would already find in your typical bourbon.

love this with a heavey nose of chocolate, but doesn't find its way to the palate, interesting, not overly sweet. great sipper, rare to find lately
