Privateer Distiller's Drawer The Queen's Share

This is a review for the 5 year old Queen's Share Distiller's Drawer. Release #116 119 proof Golden color. The nose has campfire marshmallows, brown sugar, vanilla and toasted cinnamon stick. Rich, creamy mouthfeel. The extra age shines on the palate with ample spicy oak, creme brule crust, flambeed bananas dusted with allspice, cinnamon apple pie, hints of sea salt, peppermint and sandlewood. The finish is medium-long, dry and oaky, with strawberries and cream, dry grass, and more baking spices. Drinks like a bourbon more than any other rum I've tried.
