Nice reddish brown color. Clean easy nose with subtle hints of oak and citrus. Full semi-dry medium body on the palate with some oak hints of oak, a nice touch from the virgin barrels. Ends with a clean finish that falls off a bit quick, but with notes of pepper. Overall a really nice approachable rum for the price point. Great neat or on the rocks, but mixable as well.

Just finished a bottle of “Fulcrum,” one of Privateers oldest (7 year) distillers drawer releases so far. Privateer keeps getting better and this is the first one that felt like a world class rum. Flavor wise its in the same conversation as a Foursquare exceptional cask selection.
