Rye whiskey it's just not for me. I get a very rubbery and oily note overall. Same as the high-rise basil hayden. Probably other ryes as well. The Sherry is a nice sweet dark cherry note in the backbone. It grows on you through the glass with notes of cinnamon and Rose water.
