Ragtime Rye New York Straight Rye Whiskey Single Barrel (Roc Elite Rye Stallone)

The nose starts with a sweet floral rye, with hints of earthiness. Charred oak comes in behind, as sweet notes of brown sugar and fruit follow. It develops rather quickly and keeps getting better and better. A touch of cream comes in to round it all out, building excitement for the first taste. The palate is soft, filling the mouth with an abundance of rye spice as a bit of pepper hits the corners of the mouth. It remains rather gentle yet rye forward, as the sweeter notes come in but not so much that it takes away from the rye. It remains amazingly balanced and such a great drink to get that spice fix. The finish is long with plenty of lingering rye spice. Simple as that, a masterpiece.
