The nose is sharp and abrupt but the flavor blooms wonderfully when mixed, better than most of the tequila I have tried. Sweet, rich and complex. I would not call this the best sipping tequila but I would call this the best mixing without a second thought.
About this bottle
Riazul is a Jalisco Highlands tequila founded by Iñaki Orozco that prides itself on using matured estate-grown agave and traditional methods of roasting, milling. They use a combination of column-still and copper-pot distillation. Their Plata is bottled immediately after distillation with no resting period, to offer the truest essence of the agave.

Light on the pallet compared to tequilas like Don Julio or even Claze Azul. The agave isnt overpowering and youre actually able to enjoy it
The expert taster noted lots of fruit... I just get earthy agave and chocolate. Quite different flavor profile than any tequila I’ve had.
Starts off pretty fruity and sweet and good, then finishes with a distinct alcohol taste reminiscent of bottom shelf vodka
Trio pal and fresh with a smooth agave taste
Chocolate
