Straight: goes in smooth and earthy, with slightly sour plum notes at the end Mixed (fever tree tonic): tonic water changes the profile a bit, it lightens the Gin and amplifies the floral notes. The plum note reduces.
About this bottle
Roku Select Edition is a global travel retail exclusive and launched in 2017. Like the standard Roku Gin bottling, there are six Japanese botanicals used: Sakura flower (cherry blossoms), sakura leaf (cherry leaf), sencha tea (green tea), Gyokuro tea (refined green tea), sanshō pepper, and yuzu along with eight other traditional gin botanicals. In the Select Edition Gin, the bottle features an embellished label showcasing Sakura flowers, to reflect the more prominent Sakura flavour.

Sencha forward followed by hints of gyokuro and sansho pepper with notes of lemon present but not overpowering throughout, it leans towards the bitter side of gins. Fantastic choice for sipping and in cocktails.
