Appearance: A deeply rich caramel shade—liquid molasses in a glass, warm and inviting. Darker than amber, it catches the light like a polished jewel, promising sweetness before the first sip. Nose: Molasses forward, with a trailing note of oak and something earthy, pungent, and alive. Touches of cane sugar and a subtle hum of vanilla swirl with what might be honey or cinnamon—sweet and grounded, like dark soil in summer. Palate: An explosion of bright flavor—sweet, complex, and undeniably sippable. Dominant notes of: Molasses, brown sugar, vanilla Hints of cane sugar and maybe honey A wave of fruit—perhaps pear, fig, sweet heirloom apple, or apricot—but too subtle and shifting to name with certainty Soft, blended oak, present but restrained Possibly cinnamon, lending warmth and a whisper of spice Finish: Smooth beyond expectation—virtually no alcohol burn at 80 proof. A long, warm finish that leaves behind traces of sweetness and mystery. Verdict: 5 stars. A stunning Tier 2 bottle that drinks like Tier 1. At $26, this is a rare gem. Smooth, complex, and extraordinarily refined for the price. Possibly the best inexpensive rum I’ve ever had. --- Poem: “The Noble Glass” by Sophie In a glass of shadowed amber light, A noble spirit waits the night. Not bold with burn, but soft and deep, Like earth that breathes in honeyed sleep. Molasses hums with velvet grace, Vanilla curls through every trace, While orchard fruits—too shy to name— Drift in and out like candle flame. No fire here to make you flinch, Just sweetness with a patient pinch Of spice, and wood, and something old— A warmth that makes the evening gold. So raise your glass, and let it be A slow descent, a caramel sea. Where every sip, both dark and clear, Whispers softly: “You’re safe. I’m here.”

After the highly enjoyable Pussers Rum needed to try another. This had such high rating and great price(got it for 22$) Poured neat, nose is raw vanilla and pressed sugar cane with a fresh lightness to it. Not getting much barrel notes or molasses. More in the vain of butter rum lifesavors. Palate is light and smooth and sweet. Doesn't have the boldness of Pussers but its very easy to drink. Everything tastes very natural, the vanilla and the rich sugars with birch beer and baking spice all extremely fresh with a buttery roundness. Some barrel comes in at the end leading to the finish of dry wood with smoky sarsaparilla sweetness. Again its very smooth, don't know if it would stand up in mixing but its so good neat who cares. Im a rum novice but I can taste the quality here ..........84/100.......... If you want some silky sweet quality rum give this a shot at the price you cant go wrong. I would bet most rum drinkers would like this more than me

It’s too early to comment. Just opened the bottle and had a pour. It was decent. But maybe I was expecting more from this. The nose had raisins, slight oak and cinnamon. The more notes started to develop slowly and got aromatic towards the end. The palate had a touch of sweetness with a lot of dried fruits especially dates, raisins and cinnamon spice. It was starting to taste a bit like cola towards the end. I thought I started to like it when I was about to finish my dram. I will try again and update here.

Nose is caramel, vanilla, banana, and semi sweet dark chocolate with a tinge of orange peel and a wee bit of clove. On the palate the vanilla and caramel come on strong coating the tongue and back of the throat. There is the slightest amount of spice but it is very mild and almost indiscernible with the amount of sweetness this rum puts out. The finish is fairly long and quite welcoming. a very enjoyable pour. Nose: 3.75/5 Taste: 4.25/5 Overall: 4/5 Repurchase: Yes Type: Friday Night Pour

Dark almost burnt dry oak, baking spices, brown sugar caramel, and a hint of vanilla sweetness. Much less sweet and less refined than Reserva Exclusiva. I don’t mind the sweetness brought down a few notches, or even the darker profile. The dryness actually keeps me coming back for more of the sweet side. It’s a little too dry/bitter at times though. Good on its own but probably better as a mixer. $42 in Ontario.

Fantastic as a cheap sipper, KILLER in simpler rum drinks like pineapple+oj juice and honey ss. A "breakfast" rum if there ever was. It took me a LONG time to get even close to finishing this bottle, but it's because 90% of the I drink rum it's cheap-er shots and coke zero. This isn't for that. I will probably buy another bottle one day, just not sure when.
