Rossville Union Masters of Rye Single Barrel (VA ABC pick)

VA ABC has been stepping their game up as of late. Every time I have been in a store in the past few months, I have been able to find a store pick of something that ends up being a spectacular purchace. This is my first bottle from Ross and Squibb and it did not disappoint. It may be one if the best ryes I’ve had to date. The smell of the rye spice isn’t overwhelming, which is sometimes a turn off for other ryes. The palate offers more subtle rye spice, apple, and mint. The finish is medium and pleasant all the way through. I have yet to find mention anywhere online or this app about the “Masters of Rye” single barrels but there is a bottled in bond with a 6 year age statement. However, no age statement on this bottle. 95% rye, 5% malted barley.
