Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Lots of fruit - apples, pears, grapes and apricots. Palate: Clove and baking spice with a thick mouthfeel. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Still thick and fruity. Splash: The fruit and spice balance nicely with a few drops of water. Overall: 9.5/10 - This is a distillery exclusive that we were unable to sample before purchasing. I was on the fence considering the price, but I’m glad I tried this. This is really one of the best finished ryes I’ve had and the price is on par with Starlight’s finished ryes.
