It begins as a straight rye aged for 6 years in new, charred American oak barrels before finishing its maturation in Maryland-style port casks for an additional 3 years. I have been on this app for a while but the 78 score is one of the most bogus expert scores i have seen here. This easily goes toe to toe with the Midwinter Nights Dram.
Don't understand the 78 rating by the site. Totally wrong. This is for sure a MWND killer. Massive notes from the port, extremely rich and long finish.
This kicks some MWND butt. Just has everything you could possibly want in a port finished rye.
