Maybe I’m in the minority but I really liked this bottle. Got it for $30 because a liquor store was going out of business. Figured what the heck and snagged it because for half the cost of wholesale I’m not losing either way. So the Moscatel cask flavor really gives it something unique which you don’t taste until after it goes down and the aftertaste sticks around. I tried this with two other friends and they had the same reaction and they agreed that they really liked it also. The aftertaste had a wine/grape flavor that wasn’t like a cab or sherry finish but more grapish, if that’s a word. So for $70+tax I don’t know if I’d splurge for it but if it was under $60-65 I think I’d say it’s well worth it since it has such a nice unique flavor that you find in any other rye whiskeys. 4/17/22

Nose - Sweet fresh fruit flavors like white fruits from the moscato. Some baking spice/rye spice Flavor - the sweet white fruit flavors shine with some rye spice sneaking in but a nice balance. Cant pick specific fruit flavors but sort of like apple, apricot, pear. Misc - A good coating mouthfeel and a medium finish. The proof point seems great and overall a well balanced finished rye. Extra points for the moscato finish being unique and not overpowering. 7.5 on the T8ke scale.

This one surprised me. Sagamore has yet again created a wonderful variation of thier rye whiskey. This may be a bit sweeter than some rye purists would prefer. It smells a bit sweet and is very easy to sip neat. The rye sting is late and subtle but in a good way. I will be keeping a bottle in my rotation. Cheers! N - Honey, syrup, cinnamon P - Baking spices, grapes, berries F - long, sweet, dry

So sweet, so cherry cinnamon... then so HOT. This little firecracker will fool you on the first sip until she drags you into a back room and gives you what-for on the swallow. You won’t regret getting burned in the end, either.

This is quite nice. You can taste that it’s 50%, but still easy to drink without water. Nice finish of sherry and caramel

Hints of apricot, some sweetness but has a hell of a punch
