About this bottle

Santo Spirits is a tequila & mezcal brand founded by rocker Sammy Hagar and chef Guy Fieri. This añejo tequila marks the duo's fifth expression for their brand and like the previous tequila bottlings it utilizes 100% blue weber agaves which were estate-grown in the Highlands of Jalisco. After distillation the tequila is aged for ~ 24 months in former American whiskey barrels. It is made at NOM 1107 and is created without any additives. Availability begins in June 2023. (SRP $74.98)

A really nice nose on this one. You get the agave, but the oak comes through really well. Pepper. Caramel. Some kind of spice is present. It has a very full aroma with some nice complexity. The flavor isnt as impactful. The agave and dark caramel come through immediately. Slight sweetness which isnt as obnoxious as a lot of tequilas Ive had of late. It finishes on a dark note that lingers nicely.

Super tasty and smooth. Almost crushable. Lacking some oompf in other anejos though.
