SelvaRey was founded by brothers Seth Gold, Marc Gold, Rob Herzig and pop star Bruno Mars, who enlisted former Havana Club master distiller Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez to create the product. It is a blend of 3 and 5 year old rums that are aged in ex-bourbon casks, carbon filtered to remove the color.

Outstanding, versatile white rum for sure! It's next level compared to Bacardi or other mass produced white rums. Not funky or grassy so it works well in rum cocktails. I use it in my classic daiquiri and love it. Overall just a nice, smooth taste, with vanilla notes from the again process.
It was hard to get past the heavy alcohol taste to get the flavors. If they smoothed out that bite then the flavors would shine. Definitely not a sipping rum, even with ice, but a fair mixer.
