About this bottle

Siembra Azul was founded by David Suro-Piñera and was created with the purpose of promoting education, health services and research in tequila production. The Blanco tequila is produced in the town of Arandas in the Highlands of Jalisco and is double-distilled with agave ranging from 5 to 8 years of age. On each label you will find a wealth of information with everything from the name of the agave ranch, type of still, and both the name of the jimador and the distiller along with so much more. Every batch will be a little different, but in general they are always made with the same level of care and attention to detail and are pursuant of a consistent house style.

I dont come across this blanco tequila often in stores but when I do see it I like to pick it up for the bar. It's one of the better blanco's out there. The nose is citrusy with some pepper. The palate is very earthy, with grass notes and lemon peel. The finish has very good length and some nice spice notes. This is a well made tequila and easily recommended both neat and in cocktails. Outside of El Tesoro or Ocho, I'm not sure there are many better.

A Silver artisan Agave Spirit crafted by NOM 1414. It has a delicate birth with notes of agave, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a tropical life adds notes of coconut & mango; that led to a balanced death of medium length with a touch of pepper. May 2017

Had this in a blanco to extra Añejo tasting flight alongside Fortaleza Reposado winter blend and Fuenteseca 18. Very good with notes of Cooked Agave, flowers, mango, pineapple, caramel, anise, grass, herbs, mint, citrus, vanilla, and a creamy mouthfeel.

My absolute favorite mixing tequila. This is the base of all of my margaritas and palomas. Tough to find in PA unfortunately but I always have two in house.
