Far too young by any objective criteria. Corn is predominant and its harsh to say the least. I had visions of wheated bliss but instead I'm mixing the remainder of this bottle with Ginger Beer. I can't recommend this
Sonoma County Distilling Co. West of Kentucky Bourbon No. 2
About this bottle
Sonoma County Distilling was founded in northern California by San Francisco native Adam Spiegel in 2010. West of Kentucky No. 2 is the distillery's second in a series of annual releases. Like the first, it's made from a mash bill of yellow corn, unmalted rye and cherrywood-smoked barley. It's double-distilled in alembic stills by direct flame, which requires quite the watchful eye. The bourbon is aged in small, new charred oak barrels for over a year before being transferred to used whiskey barrels for further mellowing.

Thought it was ok, though kind of went back and forth if I’d buy it again. Don’t remember it to be as sweet as other bourbon I’ve tried and liked, despite the Distiller taste profile.
Easy smooth nutty, not crazy complex, would easily buy again
Very smooth. Warm feeling in my cheeks.
Almonds. Terrible
