Visual: light copper; slow, beaded, evenly spaced thin legs Nosing: very earthy, but sweet smelling, like a Sherry whisky. White and Red raisins with hints of cherry and pomegranate. Fresh orchard fruit; namely, fresh autumn red apple and tart plum. Tasting: sweet with an aftertaste of red grape must. Smooth, slick body with a dry finish. Earthy and nutty, namely a sweetness that of roasted chestnuts. Oak, vanilla, and cocoa powder also come through. Reminds me a bit of a sherried Irish whiskey: sweet, bright and smooth. Remy XO is a great example of a brandy that's approachable to newbies to spirits and seasoned veterans alike. It's a really comforting spirit that's best enjoyed on a cold winter day.
