Woodland nose. Sweet sweet earthy palate. The juniper and herbs start to rise, as does a faint gamey note. Slow fade back to the woods. Definitely not like licking a venison meatstick. Very well crafted whiskey!

Deerslayer Venison Whiskey is self-described by producer Tamworth Distilling as "nothing short of plain weird." It's a three year old wheat whiskey that was distilled with smoked venison seasoned with autumnal ingredients from New Hampshire, including porcini mushrooms, cranberries, juniper berries, and green peppercorns. It's bottled at 99 proof and sold in 200ml bottles.
