Ten To One Uncle Nearest Bourbon Cask Finish Caribbean Dark Rum (2022 release / batch: #0002-un / blend:12-FW-TTO-04 / bottle: 1490) is a rich, rum crafted in celebration of Black History Month in partnership with Uncle Nearest. It is a blend of 8-year-old column still rums individually aged in ex-Bourbon barrels from Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Dominican Republic & an unaged Jamaican pot still rum. They are then finished in an Uncle Nearest 1856 Bourbon Cask Barrels before being bottled at 86 proof. It has an aromatic birth with notes of acacia honey, banana nut loaf, spiced apple, walnut oil, cranberry & white peppercorn, while a rich & complex life adds notes of black currant, toasted pecan, Crème brûlée, charred oak & mild spices; that led to a spicy death of medium length.
