Pronounced "tequila two nine," Tequila 29 Rosa begins as the brand's unaged blanco, double-distilled from 100% Los Altos blue weber agave, with the addition of agave nectar and a natural pink coloring. This bright rosy hue is derived from the cochinilla (cochineal) insect that lives in the agave plant and has pre-Hispanic historical significance as fabric dye.
