Anytime I find a Rye that is 6+ years old and has a candy palette... I'm in heaven. This rye pallete is really good. The palette does not bite upfront like a rye is expected to do. This 2021 senator is great and it would win many rye head to heads. I do have a senator 2022 single barrel that is my top rye, ever. And this one matches the palette but doesn't have quite the finish. If the finish was as good as that single barrel, I would buy every bottle I could find.

Nose - Clean, pepper, orange citrus and crisp white grape. Some sweeat condensed milk and cinnamon dance around some lightly toasted leather. Palate - Sooooo bright. Burst of flavor my goodness. Citrus is the key here the brightens the typical rye notes of mint and herbs. Some cinnamon compliments the lemon vanilla. Finish - Finish is cinnamon oak vanilla and herb. Surprising banger right here.
