Nose: orange, honey, baking spices Taste: oily mouthfeel, rye, pumpernickel, clove, orange Finish: warm and lingering. A few drops of water would probably open this up nicely. Impressions: I was gifted this bottle and am thankful for the opportunity to taste it. It has a rich, complex baking vibe, and totally tastes like "harvest" and fall to me. I enjoy the richness of it, but wouldn't want something this heavy/deep as a daily drinker. However as a special occasion sipper, this is a nice addition to my cask strength selections to warm you up!

Nose- Mild oak and vanilla. Palette- Initial burn of cinnamon, then flows into vanilla and some green apple tartness. Hint of cherry as well. Finish- long finish of oaky vanilla. The cherry hint at the start is more prominent at the finish. Overall- Not for feint of heart. At 118.1 proof this hits heavy at the start with a burn that will warm you on a crisp fall night. The overall flavors pair well with fall. For the price tag I would have liked more complexity and flavor profiles. A good cask strength offering.
When on Christmas you have to celebrate him. Great after taste that continues long after the drink touches your lips. Makes me imagine that Santa is jolly because of the rye in his belly and not the cookies in his mouth. St.Nick please put another bottle in my stocking. Definitely will be a staple in the Rye cabinet. Merry Christmas.
Very vanilla sweet nose. Taste is very earthy. Sweet and medium finish. Second pour, licking up kit eod the grain and green apple notes. Lingers a little longer. Good but a tough price tag
This was a great rye. I bought at the distillery and saved for Christmas. Good flavor but pretty expensive so not sure I’ll buy again.
Greentown find. Opened on Christmas. Better nose and taste with a few drops of water. Dry, bitter finish.
