Post Christmas flight of Western European Brandy (one each from Portugal, Spain and France) Next up is a new Armagnac I've yet to try. I love the untamed flavors that other Armagnacs that I've tried bring, and have been looking forward to this one. Nose: Refined. Orchard fruits, apple pie and creme brulee. Palate: Berries, caramel apple, peach and brown sugar. Finish: Cherries, almonds, and nougat. Fades pretty quickly. This is the first Armagnac that I've had that was gentle and balanced. It's all of my favourite desserts without even a hint of heat or harshness. If I see this make again I will be buying more bottles.
