This dry seasonal makes my lips tingle. Opening with notes of hominy, and with a viscous mouthfeel, it starts it's visit warning you that you're in for a wild ride. As it slides down your gullet, an army of spicy little men punch your throat, but in a kind way. 3 or 4 hours after drinking, be prepared with lots of reading material by the toilet.

NOSE: New spirit, earthy, vegetal, peaches, pepper(young). MOUTH: Very natural tasting, LOTSSS of pepper, herbs, powerful, ginger, white fruits and flowers. FINAL: Herbs, pine, tree bark, peppery maybe a bit too much. Not my favorite edition.
Fatty meat aroma straight off the bat with a light cedar note. Lots of black pepper with a young sulphur aroma. Flavour is very similar with more black pepper. Having tried a good few of these whiskies I'm yet to find one I like.
I just don’t get what all the hype is about. I was part of an extensive tasting of Waterford and found it to be uniformly mediocre (at best). I hope future releases show more promise.
Nose is floral cherry, earthy, chocolate, mid taste has some spicy notes finished with lingering creamy mouthful
