Truly outstanding - especially for $50. I wish this was available stateside! Nose: A nice strong nose for an Irish, which I find typically have more mild noses. The graham crackers and malty grain is immediately present, with floral tones and a nice hearty, oaky chocolate also appearing. The nose sets expectations high, which the palate is able to deliver on. Palate: Honey, and incredible toasted graham crackers flood the scene, with vanilla and rich sweetness close behind. It is almost like a full smores, with slightly bitter baking chocolate coming in at the end. The palate is truly exquisite, and shines strong, despite the alcohol. A nice color shows that it likely has some age, but the high proof (62 is likely close to entry proof) shows that it may be younger than it first appears. Regardless, it has a lot of really great classic flavor, from the graham crackers and honey, to little bits of delicate hay floating in. The finish lingers quite a long time, as expected for the proof, and a little surprising for the likely young age. A tiny kick of potstill spices and bourbon barrel oak, but what I find really lingers is the graham crackers and rich malty taste. All in all this is a steal. If I could buy this in the states I would get a case to have spares. The value for money is unreal, but at a more basic level this is just a wonderful dram to have. Once they get some more age on it, and maybe NCF it, then it would be truly exceptional. This will tide me over until I can get some of the highly touted Blue Spot.

Mostly alcohol on the nose, buy the body is super rich compared to most Irish whiskeys. Works really well. Creamy and rich, melts across the tongue. Interesting contrast to the light grain flavors. Probably my favorite Irish so far just because I always like the heavier ones.
Spent about two weeks in Ireland last year, probably drank too much whiskey. No, no, just the right amount. Anyway, the only bummer about the whiskey is that it is almost impossible to find in the states. Fantastic, but does need a nip of water. It is 62% alcohol.
Had a while ago. Not too much on the nose. Sweet, floral and creamy in the mouth. Long finish. Got better as the bottle emptied. Eminently drinkable and smooth despite the high ABV. Very good.
Floral nose with apple juice undertone. Palette is spicy and big up front molding to apple and light oak flavor. Very good, not aged enough to be amazing.
Aromas: Sweet, Caramel, toffee. Rum. Taste:Sweet. Caramel. Toffee. Vanilla. A bit of oak. A pinch of spices. Cinnamon. Oak. Bitter/Burn after taste
