WhistlePig The Boss Hog X: The Commandments

Very interesting with some honey, tropical fruit, grapefruit, hoppy, and spicy tasting notes. Nose: Cinnamon, Dark Chocolate, Strawberries, Raspberries, Honey, Licorice, Star Anise, Root Beer, Passion Fruit, Pineapples, Grapefruit, Hops Palate: Honey, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Raspberries, Mangoes, Passion Fruit, Cloves, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, Quince Pears, Mocha, Sparemint, Toasted Marshmallows Finish: Cinnamon, Cherry Cola, Dark Chocolate, Star Anise, Luxardo Cherries, Peaches

Light and sweet at the front of the taste- honey, rye, caramel. Then a quite spicy jalepeno finish that burns going down. Interesting balance. I didn't find this quite as enticing and unique as the other two Boss Hogs I've tried- a little too spicy for me.

Nose is very sweet with hints of honey and vanilla. Palate is more of the same, with additional hints of clove, cinammon, and dark chocolate. Long finish

Nose wasn’t anything special to be honest but the mead really shines through on the palate. Lots of rich honey flavors and a raisin finish.

So good, that flavor is great! I thought that XIII and IX were good, but this one is better IMO

Beyond amazing. If youre a setious bourbon or rye lover, its a must try.
