Capsule review from 2023 New Orleans Bourbon Festival: Typical rye on the nose but with some hints of savory as well. Nice vanilla on the palate with a sweet and spicy medium length finish. A true gateway rye.
Opens with graham cracker and pipe tobacco; has a sugary middle with notes of orange, peach, and cherry; and ends with baking spice and cinnamon.
Balanced rye spice. Tannins and a building rye spice. Pop of vanilla with faint eucalyptus. Moderate finish.
Spicy but smooth, panettone notes, butter finish.
