Spicy on the nose which surprised me for a Woodford product. Small quick tails. The proof is forward on the palette which is odd for the proof. Tingly on the palette and some sweet notes. The finish is quick and has wine notes.
Woodford Reserve Distillery Series Frosty Four Wood Bourbon
About this bottle
Frosty Four Wood is the third expression in Woodford Reserve's Distillery Series. The whiskey is initially aged in new, American oak, then finished in maple wood, sherry, and port barrels. The "Frosty" in the name refers to the whiskey's exposure to extremely low temperatures during the 2013 Polar Vortex, which resulted in mineral precipitation. The whiskey is bottled at 90.4-proof whiskey and is sold in 375ml bottles at the distillery and select Kentucky retailers.

Almost makes me think of a wine that has gone through malo. Very full mouth feel that coats the throat. Brown butter curd and rich vanilla extract. Appreciate the depth but the finish is a bit off for me.
Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked - - just learned this existed yesterday. Evergreen liquor in nulu. Belgium waffle covered in syrup... Naked
Smells of cherry and orange, also reflected on the tongue. Bit of a Kentucky hug and lingering cherry.
Good whiskey. Not a fan of using for mixing drinks. Just to sip
