Better than expected. I only picked this up because there were only 6,000 bottles produced (so I bought 3). I'd read some bad and not so bad reviews so I wasn't expecting much. Pleasanty surprised. You can definitely taste the heavy Rye influence. Although I can still taste the vanilla & burnt sugar.
Yellowstone 7 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon (2015 Limited Edition)
About this bottle
Limestone Branch Distillery released 6,000 bottles of this bourbon. It is a blend of three different sourced Kentucky bourbons: a seven-year-old wheated bourbon, and seven and twelve-year-old bourbons with rye in the mash bill. The twelve-year barrels were refilled with the seven-year bourbon, and the final bottling comes in at 105 proof.

Exceptional smooth with it’s hints of butterscotch makes it one of my favorites — just wish you could find it in stores. Don’t pass it up if you should come across it in your travels.
3/21/18 Nose: Brown sugar, baking spices, orange zest. Palate: Caramel candy, orange zest, cinnamon, liquorice. Moderate to heavy alcohol burn
Excellent bourbon. Not harsh at all for 105 proof. Burnt sugar, vanilla and dried fruits. Clean, fresh and light finish.
2016 - coats the glass .. thinner taste than it looks. beam profile with some spice and vanilla.
Very good. 2016 limited release is similar to the new bmh Oregon. Cinnamon like it was added
