Some people will think that this is a great value, or that is not that impressive. This rum has an age statement of 21 years. Compared to other 21 years like Appleton Estate, the price for this bottle is a bargain. On the nose this is pleasant with notes is caramel, molasses and some tobacco and leather, but compared with the AE21, it seems lighter. The palate is very similar and the finish is good and medium lasting. Overall this is a good sipping rum and a great value, but it lacks the depth and body of AE21.

Now, I'm no rum expert, but a 76 seems a tad harsh for what is a pleasant, if admittedly unexciting, dram. The nose is a bit restrained, but reminiscent of dried fruits soaked in...well, you know. Rum raisin and whatnot. The palate reminds me of sherry forward Canadian whiskey - maple syrup, multigrain pancakes, and some orange peel. It's the least inspiring of the rums I've tried so far, but I'd drink it again.
Nose: some wonderfully rich caramel, toasted vanilla, and wood notes - quite enticing Palate: a bit thin on the mouthfeel, but also some very delicious vanilla and cream notes, marshmellow, and brown sugar Finish: molasses, vanilla, and caramel along with some oak spice that lingers for a medium amount of time
Caramel/toffee nose, very pleasant and what I hope a good rum would smell like. Fairly dry in the mouth and not overly sweet. More toffee and bourbon hints. Very smooth and easy to sip. A great value for under $50 if you don't want an overly sweet rum.
This one brings the inherent sweetness of rum but not overwhelmingly and, it’s very smooth with a clean finish. Perhaps, it’s a little too approachable and it requires attention to capture its complexity.
Tasted. Nice rum. I can see why most of people like it. Rich wide taste, sweet mollase with distinctive nutty (wallnut, hazelnut) taste afterward. Sweet mollase vanilla smell. Very, very nice sipper.
