About this bottle
A Korenwijn is made with at least 51% malt wine. In this case, the malt-wine is made from a mash-bill of equal parts corn, rye, and malted barley and is quadruple-distilled in a copper pot-still. Then a part of the malt-wine is redistilled with the botanicals (juniper, licorice, and aniseed) and blended with the remainder before being brought down to 45% ABV. The spirit is then aged in 200-liter new American oak barrels for ten years and bottled at 38% ABV. This is a single-barrel bottling as well. Limited availability in European markets.
