Rutte Old Simon Genever is named after the founder of Rutte [ROOT-eh], Simon Rutte. It is based on the original recipe Simon used upon the opening of the distillery in 1872. Though the recipe is secret, it does contain 13 botanicals including juniper, celery, and roasted nuts along with other herbs.
