I tasted woodiness, nuttiness, and caramel. The balance was nice, but there was no further subtlety. The drink was reasonably smooth, but really it just made me think of a passable but dull single malt whiskey. There is an umami mushroom flavor that reminds me of Corralejo reposado without being so strong. The flavor tends toward the mild side, but has a good balance of caramel, vegetation, umami, and faint spices without having and gross off-notes. It doesn't have a memorable flavor, but it is well-rounded and balanced without any weird, gross notes. T1 reposado is like a hybrid of this and Fortaleza reposado. This can't compete with Don Julio 1942, but at its price, why should it?

Neat. Nose is oak, vanilla, agave, or even alcohol. Lightish mouthfeel. Taste starts with sweet agave, pears, herbs, oak, vanilla, mild alcohol that builds after several sips. Finish is tart with a touch of sweetness, black pepper Overall, balanced, as in not overly thick and sweet, allowing some spicy and slight herbal notes to show. Additives seem minimal. I can appreciate the honesty as most inexpensive añejos seem like additive bombs. Not my favorite anejo, but so far near the top of my list in the $30 range. Would buy again for everyday sipping

Tastes of caramel, wood, pear, agave and vanilla. Aroma is astringent and citrus. This is an easy drinker and soft on the palate. There are no weird off flavors. The flavor doesn’t not linger. For the price this is really good and would make a good every day sipper.

Aromas were nice. Vanilla. Sweet agave. Citrus notes. Grapefruit first came to mind. Flavor fell off a bit. Alcohol is very evident throughout. Big burn on the finish. Beneath that tho, the vanilla and sweetness are still living. Some plastic aftertaste.

For a $30ish anejo, haven't found anything better. I use this for anejo old fashioneds and it works perfectly. I mainly stick to the Extra As for sipping as this is a touch harsh on the finish, but again great for an Old Fashioned.

Mostly smooth. Sweet but kinda bland.
