Each cask is hand selected for age and flavor by the "master distiller" to produce the final blend for the "Non Plus Ultra" edition from A. H. Riise. The name 'non plus ultra', a Latin phrase meaning 'nothing further beyond'. Only 3000 bottles are produced each year, packaged in a glass decanter at 42% ABV.

This rum is like candy : very sweet, round with added alcohol. It taste of old wood a little bit, but the sweetness is really overpowering in this one. There's a herbal hint at first, but the caramel taste takes it all in the end, with a tad of ethanol. Might be suited to romantic evenings or events like new years' eve but not so tasteful.
