Smells and tastes of highly buttered cinnamon toast! Very smooth approach without an overly bombastic spice spike. Comes off young but well mannered to me; don't mind the finish lingering around as long as it does.
About this bottle
Alley 6 is owned and operated by Krystle and Jason Jorgensen, who oversee and participate in every aspect of the distilling of their spirits. Their rye is bottled at 86-proof from a mash bill comprised of 78% rye and 22% malted barley. It is aged in new, heavily-charred American white oak barrels after having been distilled in a 500-liter Alembic copper still. It carries no age statement.

Nose: damp peat moss intermingled with butterscotch. Palate: Sweet earthy tones hinting at a scotch whiskey that fades to sweet pepper. Finish: smooth creamy warmth that is slow to fade.
A little bit of brown sugar sweetness up front, but then the spices kick in. Clove and lots of cinnamon. Vivid rye flavor and mild spice on the finish.
Full body. Delicious rye. Not to agressive. Velvet. Will always want this in my cabinet.
Agree with the tasting notes but got a little more berry spice from the rye.
Hints of vanilla, Smoky, nice finish
