Astral Tequila is produced from 100% agave grown from a single high-altitude organic estate in the western edge of the tequila producing area in Mexico. The agave is roasted in a traditional stone oven before being crushed. The tequila is fermented using local yeast and the solids are left in the fermenting mixture to enhance the flavor. Finally the tequila is pot distilled twice before being bottled and distributed at 92 proof. Note: This tequila brand has been relaunched with a new proof and packaging under Diageo's ownership in April 2022.

This is as good a blanco Tequila as I’ve had the pleasure of trying. Super earthy and vegetal with ripe green pepper on the palate but not nearly as much heat from the extra proof as I thought. The extra ABV goes right toward the flavor which is very satisfying. This is a no brainer for any tequila cocktail and a fine sipper as well. Glad I took a flyer on this one. Definitely recommended.
A complex Agave Spirit by NOM 1137. It has an aromatic birth with notes of agave, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & complex life added notes of caramel, grapefruit, melon, grass, lemon peel, & pear, that led to an herbal death of medium length with notes of oak, pepper, almonds, clove & coriander.
Peppery agave, sneaky ABV. Used primarily in margaritas with some clandestine sips of the pure stuff. Would recommend.
Baking spices (e.g. cinnamon) very prominent on the finish.
Citrus and white pepper. Smooth, light body
