A spicy rum, but not a spiced rum. Intriguing. The effect of the rye casks add a vibrant tastiness to the affair. Notes of rye, caramel, toasted vanilla, young tobacco, and baking spice permeate throughout. There is a medium heavy body here which makes it great for the base of a tiki cocktail or dark rum based libation. The finish is fairly long, leaving a tingling memory on the palate. A gem of a rum that we would glady buy year round.

If you want to make something between a rum old fashioned and a rye old fashioned, this is exactly what you would need. This isnt gonna be a big surpise. I personally dont like "funk" even Appleton is too much funk for me. This is interesting while not having even the funk of Appleton.
