Nose: blueberries, blackberries, oak, cinnamon, caramel, creme brûlée, vanilla, toasted peanuts. The nose is amazing. Just wave after wave of different wonderful aromas. Toasted oak later. Even later chocolate covered blackberry. After many minutes lots of cinnamon and even later citrus fruit. Body: full Palate: toasted caramel, juicy chocolate covered blackberry on toasted creme brûlée with cinnamon stick shavings on top. Later tangerine Finish: medium long and warming. Later smokey char, leather with sweet blackberries. It’s got the great smoke finish I like. Note: we’ll, I asked Don about aged mgp and he said this big boy was coming out… so I sprang for it. Let’s see what it brings. Tasted neat. This is one of the most interesting and flavor packed bourbons I’ve had in a while. Really fantastic.
