Spicy rye right out of the gate with a slightly sweet tint adding a soft low end to the affair. Bright, high notes of oak stave with just a hint of wood smoke. The body is mild and light, whereas the flavor is extensive and the finish is extra long. Notes of baking spice, toasted nuts, leather and young tobacco ending with a touch of spearmint. A really nice whiskey and one that has a lot of character. Well worth seeking out.
About this bottle
Released in December 2022, this bottling was released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of whiskey making at Wyoming Whiskey. Using Wyoming grains, the mash bill recipe used for this bourbon was 68% corn, 20% rye and 12% malted barley. Founding Master Distiller Steve Nally and Master Blender Nancy Fraley barrel selected and batched this edition. The barrels used in this bottling were filled in November and December 2011 and aged for 10.5 years. This Ten Year Anniversary Edition is the oldest product released by Wyoming Whiskey to date. Available in select US markets including CA, CO, GA, MA, NY and WY. (SRP $199.99)
