Tried this for the first time lastnight on reccomendation from the distiller app. I have to say i was really suprised at how sweet this rum is. Sweet in a good way. And for the price, you cannot beat it. I highly recommend trying it.
About this bottle
Bringing rum production back to its American source, Louisiana Spirits' Bayou Rum is made using state-grown and processed molasses and raw sugar. Their spiced variation starts out as the others, with a pot-still rum made according to their own "sugar house recipe" and triple-filtered spring water. The blend of spices is all sourced from within Louisiana .

Really good nose. It is actually some vanilla and cinnamon, dont feel pepper but also no resin there. Taste quite strong and alcohol. Good as mixer i think.
Very sweet with hints of orange peel and a mildly peppery finish. Not a bad rum for it's price but will become sickly sweet very quickly.
Very enjoyable but sometimes feels too sweet. A bit overpriced I suppose, it should cost no more than Morgan black spiced.
Sweet tasting smooth rum. Mixed with water, a splash of coke and a twist of lime. Really good spiced rum
good mixed or on the rocks. light, sweet, and fruity.
