Belle Meade Bourbon Mourvèdre Cask Finish is the first release in a four-part series from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery dubbed the Craftsman Cask Collection. Each offering in the series will be aged for 10 years before being finished in a unique cask type. This expression was rested for 148 days in a single mourvèdre red wine cask from Withers Winery in the Sierra Foothills of California. Only 288 bottles were in the release, offered at 117 proof.

Potpourri of spices on the nose, very rich nose. Some fruit and dank barrel wood also. Unique on the palate... a rush of fruit and spice. Warmth lasts. Pleasant sweetness. 9/6/20
