Benham's Sonoma Dry Gin

I picked this up at my local package store a while ago. It was on clearance for around $20 and I took a chance. This is a very unique Gin because when I opened the bottle I smelled mint and I was not ready for it. I did smell other Gin herbs but the mint caught me off guard. Overall, it is not a bad Gin but it did not make a very good Gin and Tonic because the mint and lime did not play well together. However, it did make a surprisingly good Martini and the mint made the drink quite refreshing. Since I have purchased this bottle I have finished a bottle of Citadelle Gin and opened a bottle of Roku Gin. I believe this is a novelty Gin but it does have a cool look to it.

Seriously botanical and worth every dry penny. Comparable to M47, and slightly better and more complex than Blue Whale. Drink neat and indulge yourself in the citrus and slightly bitter Buddha’s glove! Delightful!

Very botanical, sampled it this weekend, nice aroma, enjoyed it a lot. It’s labeled modern but reminds me a lot of classic gin with nice botanicals.

Very nice California gin. Unique, pleasant and smooth. Botanical mix is nice, but not quite world class. I'd like a bit more juniper.

Very mellow. The mint and chamomile make it very calm on the palate. I can’t wIt to make a martini with it!

Very floral and herbaceous but not overpowering. Very nice and fantastic in a GT
