Nose : Wet dog, banana, earthy Palate : Very young tasting, banana, funk, sour notes Overall this single malt could use alot more time in the barrel. According to the bottle it is aged for less than one year and it shows. I understand that using smaller barrels ages the whisky quicker but i don't think that is a good thing. All good things take time. Too much funk for me and the wet dog notes on the nose really put me off. Love the story behind the whiskey and the distillery itself but the bottle I got is not very good. Hardly ever find myself touching this bottle.

Nose : Oak, sawdust, apple juice, white grape juice, subtle smoke Palate: Apple, pear, mandarin orange, cinnamon, cedar, caramel, butterscotch Finish: Lengthy for only being in oak for 18 months, mossy oak and subtle brown sugar sweetness with a little burnt marshmallow
Visited the distillery at the end of August and bought little bottle of this. Will be stocking up when we return to MN in December. Not good at describing but love the flavor from aging in new barrels.
Seems like they might have mixed this up with their peated whiskey. Tastes like scotch to me. Not a fan
Fabulous! Smooth, with hints of butterscotch and caramel. Opens nicely with a few drops of water
Carmel, brown sugar, slight smoke. Super light
