Maltiness, salt, lime, citrus, caramel and a decent amount of burn. Tastes a bit over proof. For me it isnt a problem, theres nice spice and pepper notes there. Admittedly, Im new to the tequila. Im still finding my footing with the flavors and the appreciation for the spirit. So far I've enjoyed what i have had and this is no exception. The nose is a bit more appealing than whats on the palate. Still, theres some good flavors there.
About this bottle
Rock musician Sammy Hagar founded Cabo Wabo in 1996 as a way to create a "house tequila" for his cantina in Cabo San Lucas. It's produced by a family of distillers who use traditional methods to produce the agave sourced from the lowlands of Jalisco. This añejo is aged 14 months in American oak. Note: Sammy sold his remaining shares to Gruppo Campari several years ago to Gruppo Campari who now own the brand in its entirety.

Solid and sweet tasting, but also sharp and harsh with the heat from the alcohol. I’d expect more smoothness at the price point. Better anejos can be found at lower prices, won’t be buying again.
Pleasant sweetness and lasting finish, but its strong alcohol smell and initial sharp flavor makes it hard to love. It's certainly not bad, but there's not a lot that stands out about it.
This is a festive spirit with hints of various tastes. A good one to have for variety behind the bar to please all your guests.
Smells like pickle and cucumber. Tastes like cucumbers and slightly fruity and a bit of alcohol bite. I am not a fan.
Tasted this after Don Julio añejo and I think it isn't as good. Not bad just the Don is better imo.
