Nose is has very slight hints of pine (although not necessarily classic juniper), but then earthy mint and spices. The first sip is a blast from the past. They say they wanted to put Indiana forests in liquid form, and I think they did it. The light pine and herb flavors kiss your tongue, then the interesting and very pleasant mint, presumably from the Zuta, chases the initial flavors away and lingers wonderfully, leaving a warm sensation. When used in a Gin and Tonic, the sweetness of the Tonic accentuates the mint, making the feeling even better. Overall, this is an excellent Gin. Probably not an everyday Gin, given the heavy mint flavor, but when you are in the mood for the mint or missing the forest, this is a remarkable Gin for the job.

This just isn’t my taste. I prefer something less harsh. Tasted like I was sucking cheap vodka off a nettle. Was expecting some more botanical profiles- particularly the mint that was advertised. Found it pretty harsh. Might actually be good in a Bloody Mary. Need to try that.

Probably the best botanical gin I've had. Complex, without losing too much of the traditional juniper character. Taste floral notes, mint, grapefruit peel, juniper. Great in drinks that really let the character of the gin shine through.

Like a pine forest in your mouth, followed by a bit of turpentine. Not for me, as the pine and juniper overwhelms any kind of mouth feel or subtlety. Neat bottle and concept, though.

The pine shines through. A botanical gin for sure. Tried straight and in various cocktails, but didn’t find that it was expressive in much ways outside of pine.

Great gin. I’m a big fan of the mint flavor throughout. Plenty of pine. Subtle licorice taste. Enough flavor I actually prefer it straight.
