smooth, you get the cognac but not good for G&T. nice though
About this bottle
An early adopter in 2008, Citadelle has been tinkering with barrel aging their flame-distilled gins for almost as long as anyone else. The original batches just contained the classic recipe aged, but now added botanicals are included most notably genepi. A member of the artemisia family, genepi grows at very high alpine fields and imparts a bit of a fennel character. Another recent innovation has been to introduce a solera system to standardize barrel aging and the peppering in of toasted American oak barrels to compliment the existing collection of Cognac casks. This solera-aged product will now be the standard replacing all Vintage bottlings.
