Part of a Dancing Goat Distillery virtual tasting, received 2 oz free sample 117 proof Nose - Toasted rye bread, toffee, coffee cake, pumpkin spice, clove, allspice, light mint, cocoa, medium oak, and medium ethanol. Palate - Viscous and oily, toffee, pumpkin muffin, rich oak, brisket crust, chocolate covered cherries, and notable rye or ethanol bite. Finish is medium-long with hot rye spices, black pepper, cocoa, toffee, rye bread, and medium ethanol kick. This one is an absolute winner, and a major step up from the standard 6Y rye. For $25 more this is a no-brainer upgrade if you see it, and unique tasting compared to many ryes in this price range.

I’m a rye fan but, I typically don’t care for finished whiskies or solera cask projects and, unfortunately this one is no different. I’ll have to move this bottle to the mixers shelf.
Nose- mostly floral. Some spearmint and citrus Taste- minty sweetness, honey, ctirus. Nicr mouthfeel Finish- sweet and subtle. Typical rye spice finally appears
Citrus nose, smooth and thick, slight caramel, not very dill like but some anise is there. Licorice, and the medium length finish
Noticebly stronger than the 6yr. Limosine Rye. Mu favorite from today’s Dancing Goat sample session.
I can't rate it as high as some but it's actually not bad, it's from Wisco for christ sake...😸
