Davidson Reserve Bourbon Single Barrel Golden Bear Store Pick

This bottle was the very first store pick from Golden Bear. There were only two left and I am very happy I was able to get a bottle. I am one bottle away from having all three store picks they have made since they have opened. N: Medicinal cherry, lemongrass, carmel, floral. I love how strong the nose is on this one. The floral notes are my favorite. Added water get fig and dark cherry added to the nose P: Coats mouth very well. I get a hint of chocolate, cranberries, almonds, cherry juice, add water it softens up and brings the citrus flavors out. F: Long and stays for awhile, has heat and extremely enjoyable whiskey. Water cools down the burn from the proof still has a nice long finish Personally I like this over the a sherry finished Scotch (and I love Scotch) this bottle definitely surprised me. Also super cool it was bottled in my birthday.
